ABOUT THE KIND KITCHEN
Our story began in 1987 with a simple goal: to spread kindness through food. What started as a small effort, sending out just a few meals, has grown into The Kind Kitchen—a full-scale operation filling over 30,000 empty plates a year with wholesome, fresh meals (and growing!) 📈
As a 501(c)(3) organization, we are fueled by a deep passion and compassion for others. Over the years, we’ve learned that when people come together with a shared purpose, incredible things happen. Our commitment remains the same: to provide fresh, nourishing meals and help others whenever and wherever they need it.
Who will be receiving food?
Needs come in various ways:
Someone who lost a loved one, a family member helping a loved one going through any type of treatment, someone recovering from illness or surgery, a family member who is in the hospital, a mother who just had a baby, a single mom trying to make ends meet, a Holocaust survivor, the elderly, the homebound. We do not discriminate.

How do they hear about us?
Neighbours, volunteers, friends, social workers.
Our meals are packaged with love. Our menus change weekly. Top of the line meats, fresh salads, soups, veggies, chicken, fish, side dishes. Packaged in our signature containers with an uplifting card from our volunteers.
